The Reverend Alexander Shuttleworth

Rector
E-mail The Reverend Alexander Shuttleworth

The Reverend ALEX SHUTTLEWORTH.  Alex was born in Liverpool in the UK and grew up in rural Devon. He then worked in London as a lawyer for ten years where he specialized in litigation.
Alex was ordained in the Church of England, he has degrees in theology from Bristol and Canterbury Universities and previously served as an assistant minister at Holy Trinity Redhill, a large evangelical church south of London. He was also the senior pastor of Timplerely Family Church, a small church in a deprived area.
He is married to Kat, an American and now also British citizen and they have two young children, Ben and Hannah.
His interests are photography, running, anything with an engine in it and watching his favorite teams come last every year. Although very comfortable in Pittsburgh: the perfect blend of Liverpool, Devon and London, he is deeply worried that his new Pittsburgh teams might actually win this year.

Robert Fire

E-mail Robert Fire

Robert has been following Jesus and making music since he was a young child, and he is grateful for the opportunity to facilitate meaningful, joyful, Christ-centered musical worship at CCFC.  A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, he is also the Director of Singing Voice at the UPMC Voice Center, and he teaches and coaches voice students in his private studio. Robert, his wife, Tami, and their two sons, Mark and Timothy, live in Ingomar with their loopy but loveable Golden Retriever, Joy. Some of Robert’s favorite book authors are C.S. Lewis, Timothy Keller, Philip Yancey, and (thanks to Rev. Alex!) Simon Ponsonby.

Tami Fire

Children's Minister
E-mail Tami Fire

Once upon a time, Tami said that she would never be a teacher!  However, God had other plans and graciously led her to the vocation of teaching, in which she has found great satisfaction.  She has enjoyed working with young people in a wide variety of situations, from teaching toddlers about God’s love and leading elementary school kids in musical worship to facilitating middle and high school youth group outings and helping young adults prepare for college.  Since 2003, she has had the privilege of teaching music at the Fox Chapel Country Day School.  Her two favorite titles are “Mama” (to her wonderful children, Mark and Timothy) and “Mrs. Fire” (because it’s her teacher name AND because she adores being married to Mr. Robert Fire!)  Tami is very glad to be working with the children at Christ Church!
